Burma Japanese Tunnels

(1/1)

christano:
I am an American living and working with Burmese ethnic groups on the Thai / Burma Border  A tunnel has been found and is seal offed in concrete and then was covered with soil , I am not an expert in the field of japanese Tunnels , the tribal people in the area say that is  , my questions is what are the possibilities and is anyone one interested in a possible venture .. The area is controlled by a rebel group that I have a close relationship with so no problem to explore the site .  Christano

If the area is controlled by a rebel group, any outside parties venturing in and out of that place will be most likely harassed by the military junta. I'd suggest you open up the tunnel yourself. There is a very high possibility that it is an underground bunker which may be empty or contains supplies/materiel.
Other tunnels in south east asia can stretch for kilometers and I suspect the Japanese army may have taken advantage of existing mining tunnels/natural caves; it is unlikely they had the time to excavate so extensively. I'm still waiting for written permission to explore such a site near me.

the Tunnel in question is in a liberated area and a Rebel commander sent a messenger to arrange a meeting on this topic  , although due to the political climate at the moment things could change at any time , Thank you very much for input what you say makes a lot of sense ..

Rattlesnake Joe:
Beware of boobie traps.  Sometimes arsenic would be placed on the floor.  Then when disturbed by walking in it the cloud of stuff would be breathed in and kill the trespassers.  Don't drink any water near the area either.  Anything underground like this is suspect, be very careful.  There is sometimes an energy that emits from holes in the ground that can kill.  Put a compass over the entrance and see if the needle spins continuously.  If it does stay away and don't go near it.

It is hard. As for now, I'm connected to the best group here in the Philippines newly formed the used all the gadgets from Scanning Devices up to Heavy Equipment from Drills, Cranes and more... Burma is distant... But you can start it with the people around as long as you have the financial capability. We want to help but it's really hard.
