There are yet still mayn concealed / hidden underground systems to be stilled found. Espeically those located in abandoned salt mines are known to have contained huge amounts of WWII booty in the past. See this link for an example

There is a new book out called "Battlefield under the Somme"
It is the history of underground and tunnle warfare during WW1..Lots of photos and stories from both sides.

They show photos of some of these tunnels and works they have opened up for the first time since the war..lots of stuff still there including uniforms and weapons.
A worthwhile read

Dean

Thank you very much for these pictures and welcome aboard!

I have quite a few books on WWII booty but haven't seen most of those pictures you have on your site yet. So thank you very much for sharing them!

Two of the basic books on German Nazi treasure that are highly recommended are:

"Nazi Gold" and "Gold is where you hide it". I should probably do a book review on both of them in the future.

No problem at all, those pictures are in the public domain as they were released by the National Archives and Records Administration, so feel free to take them and use them.

I'll be adding more when I get time, and I will put together a Nazi Gold recommended reading list at some point too.

I am convinced there is a lot of material still hidden in Germany and Austria, just waiting for people like us to find it.  Grin
