Dear members,

maybe yo have allready noticed it: We are on a new and powerfull server, giving us much better speed. The move took place yesterday hence there was some down time and some entries to our database will need to be restored manually.

I hope you will appreciate and enjoy the increased forum speed!

As the new host unfortunately comes with increased monthy fees (about 7 times the price of the old host Cry

I have been away for a month or two so I have not noticed. But thanks Christian for giving us a place to hang out and share. I got some books on ebay [not treasure books] when they sale will make a donation to help. Sorry to hear about your ticket GD but you must learn to keep your feet off the key board.

The speed might be the same for useres from the USA but users from abroad should notice a significant speed increase.

The editor works much faster, the type rate is instant rather than delayed. The rate of accidental double click is faster, which is not desirable but is an offshoot of faster hosting. That's when you get an error indicating that you already posted when you have only just clicked the post button once. The sign of good hosting, though, is that it APPEARS that nothing is different.

You did well, System Admin. Very well indeed.

Much faster now, Christian. Congratulations on the move!

Last time photo attachments took a longer time to be viewed; now they appear in a flash. Loading of pages is also very much speedier!
