Civil war grenades

Can we define which country's "Civil War"?    At the very least, both the citizens of the United States and English have a conflict they each call "The Civil War" (and they aren't the same conflict)...

also, since you're not mentioning or showing any finds you have found, "My Best Finds" does not appear to be the appropriate board for the post.   Since this appears to be your first post, I'm moving it to "New User Introduction"

To answer you question there are only 2 kinds . . . . the ones that exploded 150 years ago and the ones that are waiting to explode in you hand.  Not indenting to sound like a smarta$$ BUT unexploded ordnance of any vintage is dangerous, PERIOD!!!!  Be careful!! 
War Between the States ordnance has 2 basic types . . . timed fuses and percussion fuses.  Timed fuses were set to explode over enemy troops, percussion fuses were made to explode on impact.  IF you are a novice relic hunter get with an experienced RH and let him/her show you the ropes.
