I was looking at a picture of a hunter with a lot of cannon balls he found ,and I was wondering are they dangerous,(explosive wise) or were they mostly used as a projectile?? enlighten me please ,, oh and thank-you ,, from this dummy! Idiot

actually, Heathen, it has been discussed a couple of times....should come up when do a search (I'm not an expert, so I won't comment except to say I think that both solid shot and explosive shells were used ...   and if you're messing with an explosive shell (which include some that look a lot like solid shot to people like you and me) you could get yourself in a world of hurt real easily.
