Go Up Go Down

Was reading about somebody finding a silver Washington Quarter, so I decide to check out the quarters in my pocket.
Here's what I found
--how do i insert picture here?--

I spend $500 on a metal detector and the first treasure I find is in my pocket  Victory

Once upon a time like "yesterday". the only coins in my pockets were copper and silver...And, that's what you found,no clad..It was not to come for another 4 1/2 years.. I made $142. and change every two weeks..The gold rings went into wife's jewel box, or cashed in at a jewelry store and traded for 5 dollar gold pieces at $15.00...The only coins not cashed in were those that had numismatic value....Late 50's, early sixties you could find indian cents in circulation..A friend found a 1916 D dime in change, needed money and sold it to me for $16 dollars.. Was very fine...Today, the major spots are hunted out, but are being reseeded. Be sure you know your detector and it is able to find small gold...Read Tab Dogs posts, it can and is being done , cordially NAD

After 3 weeks I found my 1st 2 quarters in a school playground under the equipment. Ace 250 was right on about the depth and them being quarters. Cool. 1st silver for me too, today.

Neat that you've found silver, aslterp7. I'm sure you and the Ace will find many many more. Finding that first one is a rewarding milestone. Congrats! Sue
