They're giving detectorists a bad name, mate. I hope the show gets canned. I'd prefer to see courteous, environmntally responsible detectorists but that doesn't make good TV.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I dint know how they come up with the value of their relics and the people who buy them!Kind of think I might have some rusty hand tools myself?

Over the last few months several folks have posted showing an interest in starting a treasure hunting show. The problem was 90 percent of the folks that jumped aboard weren't hardcore hunters but newbies or people looking for 5 minutes of fame. No self respecting treasure hunter is going make a show like that unless they have complete control over the end product.

It does not matter if your a coin shooter cache hunter relic hunter  or artifact hunter its pretty much a solitary endeavor and most of us play things close to the vest.

I so totally agree. The episode where they were in alaska made me ill. One I watched last week or so they were in an abandoned houseing area...I think in detroit. They used a bobcat power hammer!!!!! Shocked. they did find an old pepperbox pistol tho.
