Excellent resource for Oklahoma hunters!

(1/1)

foolsgold:
I came across this one while doing some research on a cache I am after.
It is an online copy of the "Indian Pioneer Papers" containing 116 volumes of interviews from the 1930's
These are basically an oral history of the Indian Territory or now Oklahoma

I was able to verify and place dates on what I am working on, has been a huge help to my research. I have also gotten several other leads, and have not stopped reading and searching for about 3 days now.

The best part? It's searchable!! thats right, just type in a name, keyword, and read till you pass out!!!

It is part of a Western History Collection, that also has great info, such as Civil War Manuscripts and Native American Manuscripts
These are a little harder to search and read, as they are mostly scanned hand written documents

If you havent seen it yet, you will be blown away!
