Haven't seen any posts for Utah in quite some time. Anyone living in Utah been out detecting this year yet?

 Shocked

If you just want activity, all I san say is "Not me."

I got my Pick and Shovel Gazette last week from the Gold Prospector's Association of America and there were some indications that some sections of the Snake River were going to be open again this year as long as the snow and precipitation continue like it has. That's good news. They didn't mention dredging at all and I don't know if Utah bans the use of suction dredges.

Other than that, you're right . It's been mighty quiet here with very little talk of treasure. The locals prefer to crack wise about aliens and beer and trucks instead.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I've never been or tried it yet, but my uncle that passed away, my dad's brother, he wanted to go out west & give her a try...I used to like hearing about it, so I got the fever for it but haven't had the chance to as of yet.

Thanks you guys,
Jim
