I will be up in Virginia vacationing on the outer banks October 1-15. Does anyone know of a civil war detecting site I might visit within 100mile radius the outer banks? Is there a club in that area? Gambol1

When you find a likely spot, remember that the campgrounds are almost always better than the battlefield itself, which is probably off limits anyway. Campgrounds are sometimes on private property though.

Thanks for the input BA. That book is a dead ringer for what I am looking for if I had time to do the research but I will have to save that for the next trip because I won't have the time to do it for this one. What I need is a 'canned' trip by a local club or group. gambol
