Hello Bernte_One I don't know if you've been ask this on previous post but I want to ask you again to get some info.,what is the good's of ADMIRAL
compare to other VLF such as IDX Pro and TGSL?

Thanks my friend!..

building pcb is easy
building coil is uncritical - easy
performance for overall depth and depth for coins and nuggets - good (better than tgsl)
disc works - tested for disc with 100g hammer   ok masking effect is present but you cant expect to get a clear signal for a iron core coin (1€) under a hammer of 100g

i have not compared to idx, but what i have seen to some modded diy idx  i would say idx is a little bit better, but coil and detector istself are a bit more problematic for beginners

i hope i can do some more improvements on my next admiral

I  bet everyone has done that more than once in their lifetime.  Yours truly included. We don't make mistakes, we just store the data in the wrong register.
Someone who makes a mistake, or forgets something, is not stupid. Someone that is stupid is someone that never learns from them.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

One thing that would be a good idea on that board is to place a trimcap on the RX side.

would be nice

but there is also a free Point next to rx Connection where you can solder a cutted ic socket (cut one Little Piece with 3 contacts. the bend the middle contact to the side or cutt it off)
then you can test some different fine Tuning caps to get the best value

i have left my cap in the socket and glueed it with hot glue

Did you ever get the time to look at the dual tone mod?
