Go Up Go Down

I used an old crutch as a handle. Now these are easy to find; just wait near a disabled parking bay and you will have one in no time - and the donor can't run after you....No really, I had one from when aa horse stod on my wife's foot - yes this really happened. Fortunately the horse was not harmed. So, in one cut-down end I grafted a length of acryllic towel rail from a bathroom re-fit, and made the pivot bit from some old perspex. I cut the top part down too and fitted a mounting bracket for the control box. You can also see the pic of the finished thing.

There is a tiny tiny problem.......oh God but it's heavy. No no!
Despite my care in using light materials, oh dear. I ma thinking about a different kind of pole - or, shudder - buying on and blowing the budget to bits - although I haven't seen any for sale. Maybe after I find some Saxon Gold...

I could only get the schematic from Protel via Word for now, no PDf writer. It is much the same as any other version but I have doubled the front end gain.

So, what did it cost? Does it work great? Would you do it again? Are you glad you're finished?
Thanks,
Rob

It cost less then $15.00 with parts I already had or took off other things. The most expemsive items were the aryllic posts I usedin the head. I sure would do it again but I think the addition of a micro is next - software should really ace it. Hoe does it work ? Well on the bench all features seem to work as per the Tesoro manual. Disc mode is very good. In free air woth a couple of coins I get about a foot. i will write more when it has been in the field.
