A good question is , capacitors listed on the photo are for your choice of 8 khz or 4 khz . The 1265x runs at 7.8 khz !!  Are the 8 inch or 10.5 inch fisher search coils tuned at resonance or off resonance ? This same question is always asked on other tech. Forums for many years now . So I guess the search coils are not precisely tuned to 7.8 khz  .

 Wise...........Eugene

coils are attractive!  Wink i can understand how coils and schematics go hand in hand and you shouldn't mismatch them.. but i saw this one post of a guy making a type of star coil.. or a toroidal coil layout. it looked high tech. can't remember where i saw that..
