Hello all,
I started a few months ago the building by myself Detector Tesoro Lobo metal first generation. I used two different electronic plans, but there are some errors. It is there a correct diagram or photos of the PCB with its components. I enclose the 2 schematics that allowed me to start and my implementation of composants. Can you help me? Thank you in advance.
Luc

Does your circuit and design not work? When you ask for help, it implies that it's not working but you don't say what's wrong.

Tell us what is not working and perhaps someone here can assist you.

Hello,
It's hard to say where is the breakdown. I made 2 circuits, one for each schema. Both arrangements give the same result (ie little or no sensitivity), poor detection distance. I think the 2 schematics are incomplete or incorrect at the board layout. For my tests I used two heads detection Tesoro DD and concentric.
Can anyone provide numeric pictures of the original electronics components PCB side and copper PCB side to compare with the 2 shematics, It will be easy to check these schemas.
Thank you in advance.
Luke

Luc, are you saying that you redid the schematic and layout from the hand drawing of the Lobo? If so, that may have been someone's attempt to reverse engineer that model. Mistakes can be made from such endeavors.

What we need is a good, working Tesoro Lobo to see what should be expected at a variety of test points.

I think I understand what you mean (English is not my language of birth).
I actually recovered on the internet two different schematics to make a copy of detector TESORO LOBO.
I think that voluntarily or involuntarily these two schemes are not operational in the state.

Luc, I believe you have found out that they are not verified for accuracy.

Let's start out by seeing your results. What is the distance for detection?

The detection distance in air is about 5 to 6cm for a piece of aluminum or a gold ring, 8 to 10 cm in a steel block and one to two cm with a ruler steel or a coin cupper. The discrimination function does not work

I made and built a copy of the metal detector TESORO GOLDEN SABRE it works very well, testing with the same objects are significantly different.
For the piece of aluminum or a gold ring, 25 to 28 cm for a block of steel and 30 cm with a steel ruler or a piece of copper from 20 to 25 cm.The discrimination function works perfectly

That is rather grim, Luc. I have a few things to do this evening but will look over the schematic tomorrow.

Thank you very much, I have to go out of my home from Friday noon French time until September 21 for a business trip abroad.
But we can still talk tomorrow morning.
