Digger are you originally a Yank or were you just on loan to us'uns up here.

Dennis

Born in the Big Apple. Moved to Oz in 1999. When my wife (an Aussie) and I married, it was up in the air where we would live. I won the coin toss. Don't tell her I used a two headed coin, mate. I'll have to kill you one day.

Dennis, just hang in there. Projects which are fully owned by the creator and released to the public are forthcoming.

By the way, I'm not saying that you shouldn't try to build one of these. I am just saying that my personal beliefs as a developer of electronics equipment have put me on the other side of the ownership fence. My belief system also says not to use another person's design without permission. If you think the same way, contact Tesoro and tell them what you want to do. I've found that the reasonable man approach (Google it) works better than stealth.

Note to all reading this thread.

When I discuss my ethics and my beliefs here, I am discussing only that. I am not discussing the ethics of any other member nor am I implying anyone else has ethics that are less than perfect. If you look at the opening few remarks on this thread, you will see that I was addressed directly and asked why, after a year, I had not commented on a design project.

I explained why and said it was because of my own ethics. I received a PM from a good friend here who sounded as if he believed I was questioning HIS ethics by offering mine. That is most certainly not the case. I do not question anyone else's ethics here in public and never will. Not in public. In private, perhaps, but still not kept a secret. My friends have to know where I stand.

My ethics require me to locate an owner of a lost item if I can. They require me to feed someone who is hungry but do not force me to simply give them money. They require me to assist people broken down on the road, far from help. They require me to loan my spare metal detector to a friend who just had his stolen. They allow me all sorts of freedoms from stress while maintaining my overall conservative ideology. Life is good. It was meant to be fun I hope we can keep it that way.

Spot on, if I'm not careful though it could lead me to politics and I don't think we want to go there, not exactly on topic and everybody has a different horse in the race.

Dennis

We do have an area just for politics. Have fun, mate.

I'd probably end up making more than a few enemies and that's not my bag.
