Just wondering if anyone out there is still using the old Garrett VLF/TR ADS Deep-Seeker or Ground-Hog detectors.

Keen to hear if you are and what you have been finding...?

Thanks  Detecting

I have used them over the years.

I have one in the closet awaiting me to come across a coil for it.

When I find one, I'll use it too.

I want to be buried with mine. Aside from being very heavy, it is one kicking machine, my Groundhog is.

I'm looking for a Snipper or 8" coil.   I have a 10" that needs a new case.  That flipping thing is just plain to heavy and can't see what I look for.

This is a newer one running at 5.5.   The 15Khz is a much better machine for what I do. Cool

Well I'm also chasing coils for my one.

Put a couple of emails into Garrett asking what I can get hold of for it.

Its always been a great machine and whilst our 22" coil still works its not the easiest thing to move around, but boy o boy does that thing go deep.

I will pass on what Garrett has to say.

Cheers

It would have been handy had you said that to start out. I have a couple of extra coils for my Groundhog that I rarely use. A concentric coil, a standard 8" coil with a long cord (for water use with an extension shaft) and a 14" coil which is just too heavy to swing all day.

Sorry, mentioned it before a few days ago on another post. Was keen to know how many are still being used.

If your not needing them I would be happy to give them a home. How much would you like for them...?

They're here with me in Perth so I need to dig them out and make sure they still work. Wires can get old and brittle. I'll give them a good once over and let you know. Probably in a couple of days.

Is your machine 15 or 5.5Khz?

Who are you asking, Homefire?

I have a Groundhog ADS. The VLF/TR machine with automatic or manual ground balance.
