Hello. I'm new to the forum but not the hobby. I am from Greece. I have a Garrett Master Hunter cx, but I had the misfortune to break the coil. It was hit by a car. I need a coil for that. Can you help me; How do I build one? Thank you for accepting me on the forum.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Hello .

In USA we have Craigslist and "Offer Up" which sell a ton of Used metal Detectors and search coils. But your in Greece.
Try Facebook's Market Place in your country. Brand new prices from Garrett are a little Expensive.
To Build one , Build a DD coil !!! Search for the Garrett coil specifications online from this forum or Geotech 1 Forum.
there was one Great Technician from Greece on Geotech 1 . Might live close to you. Since your coil is damaged you might not be able to measure with ohmeter accurately the Transmit coil and receive coil resistance. What is coil diameter ?
Make a DD coil !!!!! Its much easier than making an IB coil.
I will do some research . Homefire who is a moderator on this Forum has some Garrett Specs. He may know of the search coil spec sheet that was posted on here years ago.
Let us know what you find.
Aloha
Best Regards...............Eugene
