Go Up Go Down

I am finally making a updated parts list for my part time "weekend only" project . I just started and noticed R17 , R19, R20 should be 21.2 k-ohm . For Q2,Q3,Q4 I will use 2n4393 .

And I do see the strange 1R in a few places that are not on the schematic .
I am just starting this Lobo Hobby project today and it will be a few weeks or more to finish .
I am at a slow pace , no hurry but 100% accurate . Quality not Quantity !!   Wise

HH......... Waveing.......Eugene

I am using this image here :

But it is fuzzy on the forum after it is attached because they label it and size it as a thumbnail  Idiot

No offense , just proving a point !!   Cheesy

I have my sprint "Gerber pcb file" ready to export to vendor .

And just finishing up the parts list on wordpad !!! I did notice some differences on resistance values from W. Lahr's drawing compared to other schematics . Below are the sprint image of the through hole boards I am ordering :

Notes: On the recieve 1st stage op-amp I noticed a possible resistance error between pin1 and pin6 which could overdrive the 1st op-amp . Also , yes as suspected there are small capacitors [RC] inside the elliptical search coil used for the Lobo . I'll post the parts list in just a little bit .

So are you basing board on W. Lahr's schematic?

Driving the Transmit coil with the 7555 set up, the C in the coil is used to shape up Round off the Square wave used I think.

We will base it on that , to a certain degree !! His schematic is close but revisions were made after 1989 . Some values of components are different of course .

Here is a parts list , search coil data and some old notes I saved from a Russian site which copied from an English site ?   Crazy Cheesy

The parts list I made today is not final until this project is completed !!

Update 1-29-12:

The IC replacement number is OP07 for the discontinued LM308n , see data pdf below:

U4 is 5532a and U12 is LM393 . The only thing I am having trouble with is 2n4393 Jfet .n. channel "substitute" .

I will type a date on my updates because this forum does not like to use any extra server space anymore .  Idea
So any project updates are compressed into one big post [mess] !!  Idiot

So you might see 50 project updates in one one post , so everyone has to read for 30 minutes to see what was just recently done , how wonderful !!!  Cheesy

Best Regards...............Eugene

What is the OP07 about?

2N4393 is found.   Looking into J102 and alternate.

Some of the R values are ODD Balls .    Sorta hard to find.    May have to hand pick them from lots.

The Lobo VLF Final [download files] back on page one of this topic will be updated because the schematic and pcb layout has errors  . So the Lobo Project is not final yet !!   Angry

Here is the latest top-side Lobo board image !!  Not final yet .

The quote button is not working like it used to . The modify button makes two posts merge into one !!
So today is Saturday February 11th and the last image [I posted today] of the Lobo should have today's date of 02-11-2012 !!!

Posting on this forum works good if you learn all the LOOP-HOLES !!!   Grin Grin Grin
