That model has not got a good reputation, so I bought one on ebay to experiment with.
The circuitry seems quite OK but the coils are not nulled very well. They are sealed up and I don't want to have to break open the housing, so I am working on a mod that combines coil nulling with ground cancelling.
I'll let you know how I get on.
