Is all the info on this detector correct or am I going to have to debug it for the next 6 months? I want something that I can build knowing that it works. What about the coil specs?

X if you want the full dope go to Geotech.  I have a pile of files I can send you I gathered  !   Yes it is current and has been built before.   Geotech has issues were  everyone seems to change crap .   But the Basics are good.  EuGeine has it figured out.  Cut some Board and was working on it.  I helped him finding parts.

Are you telling me that getting the parts is a problem?

Hello Everyone !!!

I am going to do some research tonight and tomorrow to refresh my Alzheimer's and my spelling .  The Lobo did not work as good as I thought it would .  I put that project aside .  I have a perfect original lobo Search coil so that was not the problem .  The problem was in the circuit board , something was shorted out on the TX circuit , I think it was on the trace of the home made board I etched . I will get back to it soon.

The musketeer I did not build but I heard Mr . Or should I say Doctor Ivconic built it with good results [The Musketeer @ 5khz  ]  and he also built with good results the TGSL !!  See Ivconic Posts or better look for his website . I should have my workbench finished tomorrow , its a miracle if I get to this next level at my new [old house] .

20 khz on Original VLF Lobo was tuned for gold  , The golden sabre is just a good all around machine at what 14 or 15 khz ?? I cant remember off hand .

I need to get back on here and start working on this stuff again . Any way I am building some kind of bench tomorrow , depending on the wood I find .
I need to spend more time on this forum again before I get to old !!  LOL

I see everyone is having fun here !!!    And that's Great !!!!

Best Regards..................Eugene

Hi Eugene

Glad you could make it. I'm looking for a new VLF project but I do not want to have to debug it for the next three months, I have build the TGSL and it was working good but then I left SA and left the detector with my nephew, I told him that he could use it but he managed to ruin the coil, that's OK as I knew that it could happen not to mention that he was only 11 at the time and never did any metal detecting before. I'n currently busy fixing this detector and hope to have it finished by tonight. So if you have a good all round VLF for me to build with all the info then please let me know. Good luck with your new work bench I just wish that I had the space for one too.

All the best

hello xavier

i can send you some projects if you have nothing else to to

if have admiral vlf (some clone of smw and relic hawk or so  not sure)

coll looking files for relic hawk clone but double sided pcd

and a so called sibola  that i have not tried

i have also build analog variant of cibola without µC  but it perfroms not so good like it should

another option is the tesoro bandido

look for user firebox on youtube
he made a bandido smd variant bought from silverdog.co.uk

i have some of the last bandido pcb here (silkscreen is not the best)
bandido performs better as tgsl

goes a little bit deeper and sharper signal

Thanks Bernte_One

I'll be happy if you have some good working schematics for me I just don't want to have to spend my time debugging non working projects and I don't mind if they are double sided boards as I do them all the time. I've been on your web site on a few occasions to look at the detectors that you have build, your work is very clean. My email address is xavierdri48@yahoo.com or if you like you can post them here but you are limited to size.

Regards
