I am just now putting the information together on this cool project, originally from another forum .  I do not think the circuit boards are being sold anymore. I am looking for the final schematic and final pcb sprint lay-out file.

The nice pcb boards that were made in 2015 were called Marauder pictured below and below the original king cobra schematic  from W. Lahr . I am looking for the large 15 khz DD search coil data also.

HH..............Eugene

This is the one I want to work on,  or the Lobo VLF by Tesoro .

Eugene

Thank-you nickel_n . It will be a serious group effort to get this started.  Anyone who  is interested can give constructive input. It's a great Metal Detector to build and I heard a bunch of people who built this one are very happy with the results !!

Its on the back burner , somewhere in storage I have 3 LOBO circuit boards and one has all the parts soldered on ??  Right now I have no workshop space, but thats going to change real soon .
I now have a few projects on my "bucket list", and I do still have a huge moving box full of search-coils in storage.  When I have money I have no time and when I have a ton of time I am low on money ?? LOL
If NE555 has pcb boards , I am interested !!!!  I would like to build this "King Cobra Metal Detector" before summer.

hello sasho Welcome,

can you upload better Quality schematic  maybe as pdf file?
jpg files are downscaled

i have one king cobra pcb
as i know user 555 works with p-cad2006
but is easy to redraw them with sprint layout if you put Picture of bottom and top layer as Background into sprint pcb Software
other possibility is to Export from p-cad as gerber  and then to Import in sprint layout
meanwhile i am very good in sprint layout

Posted on: January 19, 2016, 09:20:55 am
if i get permission from anatoli i would adapt king cobra pcb to sprint lay file

Hello bernte_one, sasho and everyone. King Cobra is 15 khz and is the deepest. Cobra II is the 12 Khz it works great so we need to keep the two separated so they do not get mixed up. I do not see any resistor values on Sashos schematic ? If anyone has a clear schematic then put it in a zip file to keep it clear. Sometimes thumb images get fuzzy on here.  I hope we can all agree to keep the 15 Khz frequency on our Cobra project right here.
HH...........Eugene
