The LM311-generator is connected to the line input of your sound card, and the transistor-LC-generator according to the microphone input. This is - depending on the sound card type - usually either an RCA or mini jack connection may be necessary. The program expects the measuring signal on the left channel of the soundcard.
Now the program should display after the start with a connected and switched LC-generator (with a clamped-inductivity), a signal meter in the small and the large field inductance. Otherwise, the settings of the mixer and the cable connections are to be rechecked. The signal strength is similar with the trim pot down so that about 50 to 70 percent can be achieved.
The functions of the program are simple:
* The start button starts the measurement process.
* Use the Stop button will stop the measurement process.
* Below is the start button is a field for the measuring capacity. When you first start the program here with the default value, a 0.5 uF. When using a capacitor be measured, one can go with the little button right of the field in the edit mode and enter the known measuring capacity. The next time the measurement of this value is adopted. The program saves the value in an INI file, so you do not need him so long to re-enter until it changes once the capacitor.
* Under the Stop button, the measured Resonance frequency
