I would investigate the Audio section and check it all. If I remember right that machine uses the harmonics of the Transmit freq as audio.

But who could say that the published scheme PCB has not reviewed and does not know if there are mistakes .... Easier was designed to look different than mistakes ... ami not matter now anyway I solved. All the best

Many folks have built that machine from Silverdogs kit and not had a Problem.

With NO Rx coil connected NO telling what it would do.
