Hi,
i finished this metal detector and i have problem. If i turn it on, the metal detector is screaming. If i want to detect the metal crap, the detector change screaming to beeping. I chanded BF245c for BS170. LF353 replaced with (TL072, TL082). Can me someone help with this problem? My opinion is thats coil is tuned wrong. Sorry for my bad english. THX

TGSL ?   Did you Buy the PCB ?  Tell us a bit more.  A photo of your build would be good.

Did you Null the Coil using a Scope or Just a Meter ?

PCB is homemade. I have problem like this

! Youtube video
is the same problem. Its problem with coil or with electronics? I don't have scope, i tried soundcard like scope.
I replaced transistors with BC547b/BC557b. (i have 2n2222 in plastic TO92, but 2n2907 in metal case) so i used these BC transistors.
BF245C replaced with BS170.
LM308 replaced with NE5534 and LF353 with TL082/TL072. Other parts are originals of schematic.
So please help me, i want to finish this project.
Thank you very much.

The coil seems to present difficulties to a lot of builders.  Without more information not much we can do for you.  Did you build coil as per Instructions ?

Look in here for Complete Info.

Did you build step by step confirming each section was working ?

We will have to go through your build step by step section by section to correct this if it's not the coil.

I measured detector with soundcard scope.
Picture 1: TX oscillator - sine look good i think
Picture 2: pin 6 of CD4024
Picture 3. Sine for -5V
Picture 4. Signal of RX Coil. I don't know, how good is soundcard for this measuremen. But this signal look bad.
Picture 5. Signal on TR4 Gate. It look too bad. I tried change TL082 with TL072 with the same result.

Picture 5. Signal on TR4 Gate. It look too bad. I tried change TL082 with TL072 with the same result.  Not sure if that signal is bad or the Card O Scope is doing that.  Will it change if you move your Trigger levels ?  Guess you can't do that on that scope program.    Can you show a screen shot of both TX and RX coils at the same time. NO TARGET ?

OK homefire you're rigth but I'm not this member I used his video I get the same problem continious beeping sound with TGSL EDU not with TGSL V.3
I did some changes on the pcb I used 7660 IC and 7905 to get exactelly -5v as this schematic show and I measure voltages on all Ics power is +8v and -5.01
oscillator frequency 14.40 KHz Rx attached to J1 13.85KHz then palce it in its place with 15nf , Tx inductance 5.85 mh Rx inductance 6.45 mh. I got this sound with or without rx coil and with or without
this Ics U101,U102,U103,U104,U105ic included 7660 used in -5v converter . but when I remove U100 or TX coil OR U106, U107. there will be no sound .I double checked all compenents all are 2% of tollerence .cheked transistors of the audio block they work properly. they also get 453 hz from IC U100.
is there any other compenent that control the audio block ,
please help me
best regards
