Does anyone know if Tesoro Electronics has closed for Good, or just during this Covid19 Virus Pandemic ??

Or did someone buy them out ??

I do not want to start any false rumors !!! Hearing news like would be sad .  If its true it's an "End of a Great Company !!!

Best Regards to Everyone and Everyone Please Stay Safe !!!

My understanding is that they are out of business.

ArfieBoy is correct......but it wasn't CoVid that did them in.  They closed their doors last year before the virus hit.  It seems to have been a case of lack of interest in carrying on the operation by the next generation in line.

Hello BBA , I agree with you !!!

Lack of Interest. You know they had some Good Engineers working there too. Not to get anyone upset but the Company could of done
better !!!
One reason is , I don't understand is why they never pushed all their products to have more ID "Target Identification" and displays. Or at least have an optional plug in "ID unit"  that told you what type of Treasure is buried in the Ground !!!
Tesoro Cortes had a Display , Target Identification and one other model.  Customers today want more than just Tones.
Tesoro could of done better in that respect. Tesoro Lifetime warranty may have hurt them too.

More Comments are Welcome here !!!

Best Regards and Everyone Please "Stay Safe" !!!!

Eugene

Hunting mostly in the American Southwest, I am a big fan of Tesoro.   I have a Lobo Super Trac, a Vaquero, and a Compadre that I bought as a loaner/spare.  A target identification display would have been a great edition.....but I definitely would have settled with some tonal based target id functionality.   Yes, you could play with the discrimination a bit and get a pretty good idea what you were digging, but having 3 or 4 different tones would have made the Vaquero and a few of their other machines real jewels.
