Hello . The Bandido is a good beginner project to build , with pretty good discrimination , and the average depth in the discrimination mode for small coins is 4 to 6 inches and close to 9 inches on large coins if you set your ground balance correctly before you hunt. The Tesoro Golden Sabre has much better performance , and that project is posted here on this forum !!.........Regards..........Eugene

Hello ropke. You need to make a search coil to test it properly . Look at the two attachments I posted , they are for the Bandido and if done correctly the frequency should be around 10 khz. What you can do is just make a "temporary test" search coil for your work bench . Wind it it on a wood form and try to keep it away from all metal objects . I will try to find more search coil information for the Bandido . Since I do not see the wire gauge size on these attachments here .
Regards...........Eugene

Thank You Eugene.I already have this info, and as You, I can't see the wire gauge size.I think about DD, it much easier to do,but I need wire gauge and what must be a resistance?or I can wind any size of wire diameter, but only the ohm resistance of coil must be correct?
P.S.could I somehow connect Garret Ace 250 coil to bandido?

Hello , DD is better . For DD configuration try :

TX: 22 cm diameter 120 turns of 0.30 mm wire = dc resistance of 23 ohms
RX: 22cm  diameter 120 turns of 0.30 mm wire = dc resistance of 23 ohms  Shocked
Identical !!

This should work great for testing................Regards.................Eugene
