It has come to my attention that a fellow treasure hunting club needs help in maintaining their rights as citizens and treasure hunters and by attrition that of our own rights. The city of Chippewa Falls Wi has decided to change the laws in its city to restrict the rights of detectorists to MD in the city parks. While a few may be abusive by their actions, I believe that draconian actions to keep parks pristine for all is not the proper way to control the situation. Please read the following article via this link before you vote. And to all of our fellow treasure hunters and detectorists we offer our support.

Can one of the moderators edit this poll to stop others from deleting or changing the poll except for changing their own vote? I don't want to have to delete it and start over.

Thanks,
Dusty Carl

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

I put my vote in also, plus I sent off an encouraging email to the editor of the Three Seasons Treasure Hunting newsletter stating that we were having a voting poll on their situation and that I was pretty sure that most of our members felt the same way as they did.

IF you Own A Metal Detector Then It is Your Duty To Vote In Favour of this Club that is facing Hard Times, Because Your Rights Just Might Be The Next One To Go.

We have 17,810 members. Only 3 have voted so far. Please vote. This is an anonymous poll, and it doesn't hurt to vote.  I know most of you have opinions from reading your posts on this site. Save our friends because we might need them to save us.

I also voted.  For the club.  I'd like to encourage everyone else to vote, too!  You never know when your rights are going to be the next to be challenged...   or taken away because not enough people acted to preserve them!     Wise
