Hello members,
I am enquiring about what is the most popular hand held two radio that prospectors take out into the goldfields with them to keep in contact with their detecting partners.
Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated.

Well, not too many goldfields out here.....
But we keep in contact on the beach with a couple of Motorola PMR's
They have a rang of about 2 or so  miles on a good day.
You can get PMR's that will go to 20 miles or more nowadays.
They're not expensive, and Motorola seem to be pretty reliable.
