Welcome from Indiana  If you have the 4" coil for your F4, you dont need another detector. You need panning and maybe drywash supplies. I'm not into prospecting, but I'm guessing your money would be better spent on other things for prospecting, other than a new detector. I'll let the prospectors tell you what they think. And guys......dont talk this guy into spending $$$ he doesnt need to spend....it doesnt sound like this is his profession lol. You can find gold without even a detector in CA. My brother does very well out there.

hows it going out there in indiana, yea i have the 4" coil, ive been playing with it in my test garden but it wont grab the small pieces, of course im still fine tuning it for the gold i have, i just thought the 71 freq. of the GB2 would be nice, i do have some things for prospecting, made a trip to NC a few months back & didnt do to bad, im just slower then i used to be which in turn slows the whole process down lol, thanks for your response & letting people know that i dont do this for a livin lol,i would starve real quick
