You have to be careful if a supposed buyer offers you a "no lift buy" kind of deal. When it comes to metals (scrap or otherwise), some people can play dirty. Here's the modus in point form:

1) Someone finds some metal and wants to sell it. He goes to find a buyer.
2) Buyer evaluates the find, location of the find and says he will only offer a no lift buy. Various excuses are given (too far, the truck's busy elsewhere etc)
3) Seller usually has no means to extract and transport the metal to the buyer.
4) The metals are mysteriously recovered and taken away by persons unknown, and the seller's left scratching his head.

If I were you, I'd go find another buyer.

i heard that "no lifting buying" it was originally from pilipino thunters in the philippines who made those sucking law. and no such law in the philippines "no lifting buying". i heard someone personally told a story that in his owned land he believes that there's a huge japanese treasure was hidden somewhere beneath his owned land and it was a gold bars which was a finished products from a japanese gold mine in pindasan comval province of davao.said gold bars was ready to be transported but the war has begun forcing the japanese miners to hide those gold on that place.a huge volume of gold some folks says it took 3days to haul via dump trucks. and a group of treasure seekers came informing the the owner that they also know that information about the huge gold and telling the owner that there's a law a 'no lifting buying'imposed by the international law regarding huge treasures. as to their explanation that you can sell the huge treasure of gold but the buyer and the owner could not touch or transport to other places those golds and only it will remain where it was placed no touch,no transport,no lifting, and other no policy. maybe no touching and no checking coz it will reveal the truth that it was only a scam! ahhhhh....yamashit treasure hunting in the philippines !
