I turned up at least two dozen more results on Google. Keep digging and fire off a few more messages.

G D..I have my ad on both Canadian and American sites.I went on Google the other day,i even e mailed a few that were from 4-5 years ago. They pretty much said good luck.I think "Joe Patrick" invented the other meter that's for the Sovereign and fits in place of the speaker.I have seen a few of those around, pretty much the same as the 180 Minelab Digisearch meter but is light weight and fits nice in the Sovereign...There's a few sitting around in a basement or garage i would think...John

GD...Guess what i finally bought today.!..Yes,A Patriot Target ID Meter.!!..I didn't want to say i may have found one last week because i had to first see if this person would ship to Canada. This one is from Great Britain..I had never gone on the G.B. e Bay site before,I didn't know if we could even buy from them.It was listed For Sale under Minelab Sovereign ID Meter..I couldn't believe it..The owner had it listed as Very Rare. The first thing i did was e mail the seller to see if they would ship to Canada. They got back to me right away and they said to let them think about it for a while.I sent in 2 bids so they could see my bid was automatically changed to the pound.$$..An hour later they said ok..I locked in a bid with "e Snipe" a few days ago and won it today.Other members here might be interested if they are looking for a hard to find item they can Google that country: "Great Britain e Bay" or others and search.Even if the seller says No Overseas Shipping i Always e mail them and ask, explain you'll pay the extra shipping & full insurance.I Always do it from Canada to U.S. and usually its no problem..Another thing i found cheaper in the U.K. is coils..I'm bidding on one now.I searched "Completed Listings" on e Bay GB and lots of coils were cheaper. The shipping for a coil and rod is $23.80..Air Mail..I would pay that much from the U.S. to Canada so that part is more than fair...Oh,What did i pay for the Patriot.?...Lots.$$$....John...lovee-1

It is truly amazing what you can find on the net, when my grandfather passed he left me an old .22 rifle, it had been missing the breech block for 40 years. I spent an hour scouring the net and found one in Australia, 21$ later I had the old girl back up and shooting. I only wish grandpa coulda seen it as he had looked for a replacement for years. Glad you managed to find your part as well.

Caleb..I don't know what even made me think about doing a search on GB e Bay but it worked. There weren't many of these meters made and people that have them won't sell them. This seller said they sold their Sovereign a few years ago, took the meter off and its been sitting in the closet since. They removed the battery so the compartment is clean and the meter looks new in the photos, can't wait to try it out before the snow hits...

G. D.....I have been in contact with Joe Patrick several times the past 2 weeks. He seems to be pretty busy with lots on the go and has a few new ideas for the Minelab Sovereign..I know that if enough people contact him or just leave a message on one of the Forums he might build a few of the PATRIOT METERS...He told me there has to be enough intrest for Patriot orders or he won't start up again,,And he will only build them part time, build a handfull and take a break..He said each one is very time consuming to build by hand and he wants a bit of spare time so he can go detecting. So if you know anyone interested tell them to e mail Joe or leave messages on the Forums,,if theres lots of intrest i am sure he will start building.....John...

If he is reticent to build them, ask if he would consider releasing the design for hobbyists to use for upgrades. We have a fellow here who specializes in organizing kits for other designers who give up on manufacture. Silverdog, is his name here. His site is here:
