Welcome to the forum
There are two waterproof VLF detectors at a very fair price at Kellyco’s web side.

A cobra beach magnet at $134.95 and a Viper Hybrid Trident at $157.95.
I never used any of them but I would buy one to tested out and keep it as a spare.
Unfortunately the cost of shipping it to Australia its A$$$$$$$$OT
From Melbourne Australia

Both are generic chinese models [ md8081 ] and can be bought off the net . I have a beach magnet [ also got a second one for parts as you cant buy coils seperately as a spare ] served me well for a year until i imported my own machines to Spain from the UK .
If you can find one on the net its not a bad machine for little money , will give you a taster with little risk and then you can decide if to invest in something a little better ..............then the fun starts .....!

Silverdog does kits for circuit boards. You would have to come up with housing and coil. Surf PI, Barracuda and Mini
