Hello! I'm new to the treasure hunting thing, and I'm very excited after reading the many posts about it.

I'm looking for a working metal detector that is suitable for searching parks, fields, and dry sand for jewelry, coins, and other misc items. I am 5'8" and not muscle-bound  Tongue , so I'd prefer something lightweight and suited to a beginner to use maybe twice a week.

Please leave details! Smiley My budget is around $300 at the moment. And I'm located in GA, USA.

 DiminishWaltz, welcome from Marietta, GA!!!
I recently saw a used Tesoro Silver uMax on craigslist here in Atlanta and the guy wanted 150$, he also claims it is in excellent condition. Check and see if it is still for sale, I think it is not a bad deal! Good luck!
