Among other things, today I found this brass handle that appears to be old. It has some markings on the back. Anyone wants to offer some words? I know it is not valuable, but the markings inside intrigued me  Undecided . Thanks

Well, the American Patent number 6424 is for improvement in spring raketeeth, at least that is what google patent tells me Smiley
The Canadian Patent number of 6424 is for COMBINED PORTMANTEAU AND SHAWL STRAPS

This info may not be very usefull, but it was a fun search Smiley

Wow that's odds. None of the two patents seem related to the handle. Maybe a patent from Europe?  Undecided

I ran out of time while I was cruising a UK patent site, but the number was not in a format it liked, and I didn't have enough time to do a thourough search.   If I have time tomorrow, I'll take another stab at it Smiley

Heh, I sometimes have long spells of boredom at work while my other machines are working away on tests or installing the software we are testing.  And as it's not hockey season, I may as well search something interesting Smiley

Grin Go for it then buddy.  Wink I don't know why I am under the impression that patent 6424 means: improvement of . . . whatever it is.  In our case, improvement of a handle design or something like that. I have not been able to find anything either.  Undecided
