Go Up Go Down

Pulled this up today, not sure what it is, looks like steel was about 3" deep and was found at a logging camp site from the 18 or 1900's. Measures 1 3/4" round, 1 1/2" from the out side of each wheel. and 3/4" between the ends. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for looking

To me, it looks like a truck from a barn/garage door. the part of the hanger that rolls along the channel as you push the door open.

"I'm thinking possible a cable guide?"

I haven't seen any of those either, but I think you're on to something....  (although I do like Arfie's answer)

Looks like a guide bearing for a chain or belt driven conveyor. Long chains and belts often have these to keep them from sagging during heavy loading. They get replaced often and this one may have been dropped or discarded.
