Hi All,

I'm trying to identify this for a friend.   This is logo is the only decoration on a key fob from the late 1800's or very early 1900's.   Anyone know what company or organization it would have belonged to?   If it makes a difference, it was found in the southwestern United States.

Thanks,

BA

Hi BA, I really "doubt' it is what I'm thinking.  I'm taking a wild guess...IBC root beer? IBC Root Beer began in 1919.  IBC Root Beer began with the Griesedieck in St Louis Mo. IBC standing for "independent breweries company". Thats my guess and I'm stick'in to it, lol... Great

Cache, that's one of the possibilities I have/am considering....unfortunately, I haven't found any examples of the logo showing the intertwined letters --or even that particular style of letters not intertwined.

I don't have the fob, so the best I can do is provide this picture of the entire front and tell you there was nothing on the back.

Hi
Strange, this is my first post on thunting :-)
The logo is in the news at present here in Scotland, it's the logo of "Rangers Football Club" - they're going through a liquidation process currently ...

Their logo is similar but not the same letters.

Their's is R F C, but this one is I C B or P C B.

I'm drawing a blank, mate.

I checked for BCI, BIC, IBC, ICB, CIB, CBI followed by the word Logo and got nothing even close. It may just be a monogram of someone's initials.

Thanks....I've reluctantly come to the same conclusion.  Of course, if the owner can ever tie the fob to a specific individual based on location that might actually make it more significant.

I doubt that it's a mongram of someones initials.  Usually if something is one off, it would be etched or carved.  This is stamped, meaning a lot of machining costs for just one item.  This is something that would be mass produced most likely.  A company or product label or monogram.
