The one on the bigger rock looks like a half penny. The other doesn’t look like a coin, but the lead of a fob watch.
The look cool I would rather keep them as they are than crack them open to get an other coin

Yes they do look cool and keeping them like they are gives them an added value in my opinion

Not quite....after all they do have value as paperweights and conversation pieces.

Don't get in a huff, mate. Before you start this hobby you should know that you must be prepared to identify your finds. In the case of rocks, how about a book on rocks and minerals on your bookshelf? Don't have one there? Buy one. You're going to need it.

My point is still valid. Without having it in my hands, I cannot under any circumstances guarantee you a correct or even a close answer. I suggested bauxite and you dismissed it. Why did I suggest it? Well, between your country and Bolivia, you probably provide 80% of the world's supply of bauxite. And Bauxite WILL respond positively to detection.

Now get over this crying stuff and start paying attention. Seriously.

You're welcome. Just because you didn't like what I said doesn't mean there wasn't kindness there. Here's a list of things for you to search for on the web that will help you.

1. Learn how to do a mineral streak test.
2. Learn how to do a specific gravity test.
3. Learn how to do a hardness test.
4. Learn about mineral and ore colors.
5. Buy or download a book on Rocks and Minerals.

GD is correct.  It's challenging to try to identify manufactured items based on pictures.   It's darn near impossible to positively identify most rocks based on pictures.   A person can tell you it looks like it could be this, this, this, or this, but without knowing the results of certain tests such as streak tests or specific gravity, it's a guess based solely on one set of criteria and could be proven wrong by another set.

GD is correct.

Nobody ever believes us. They ask the same question 5 different ways to Sunday and expect a different answer. Why don't we just say whatever they have found is worth billions! They may just run away with it and never come back.
