Go Up Go Down

Hi everyone,
pulled this up today. It is brass about 1 3/4 across the top and 2" total height. The tip is threaded and open and is threaded on the inside of the head. looks like it could take air, any Ideas? Keep in mind that I am working a logging line,I am thinking train whistle but cant find it anywhere

Thank you

I agree, especially since it looks like the top is designed to unscrew (whether it still does or not is another story)

It's amazing how stuck those screw on tops can get, isn't it?  Congrats on another identified piece.

Ahh I see clearly now, it is indeed a "Grease cup" for machinery not the oil reservoir I previously noted.  You can tell by the threaded cup clearly visible on your second picture.  Great pictures by the way.

If you soak it in Kerosene for a few days you should be able to unscrew it.
