this is another try at posting a picture of this object. It's bronze or brass. 5"x3"and tear dropped shaped. no markings on banner or anywhere on it. there is an arrowhead on top, and a chanunpa (peacepipe) next to banner. refer to my previous posts for further... and Thanks.

That is a very interesting item.  But, I have no idea what it is!  Thanks for showing and good luck with finding out what it is.   And, welcome to the forum!   Welcome

It looks like a Boy Scouts of America Order of the Arrow breastplate for a ceremonial costume used during their ceremony. In fact, I'd bet YOUR paycheck that's what it is. The key is the arrowhead at the top. It's in the unique shape of the OA symbol.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

sent pic to BSA... they said they are NOT familiar with this item. I also checked for order of arrow images and found nothing in bronze. This item weighs over a pound by the way. I have sent pics to 4 different collectors and identifying experts. No one has any ideas, but I have had 3 money offers..chuckle

3 people have believed it was a Lakota Chief, including my mother, who was Lakota. However..in bronze, with no pun intended... they all look similar
