Go Up Go Down

Whilst detecting with my C-Scope CS4PI, on my regular beach, I unearthed this little critter at about three inches below the surface of the sand. I know that the beach was land mined during WWII and have been wondering if this object may be an antipersonnel landmine detonation initiator??? Any ideas??   Smiley

At first glance without knowing the size, it reminds me of the lead pellets you put in an air rifle. But I assume
it's iron, and bigger than a pellet.

Thanks for the swift replies gentlemen. Here is a better picture with a UK 20p piece for comparison and a better scale. The item looks a little like copper and is none magnetic.  Undecided

That looks to be 10mm or so. That's about .40 cal. Like wuzneme said might be part of cleaning kit. Maybe the ramrod patch pusher.

It was found not far from an old WWII pillbox, so I suppose it could be any of the above suggestions! Smiley
