I would say it's a could be.

The Sharp angles don't look so good but I would follow up on it anyways.

I found in a place where there used to be all kind of activity including farm animals and machines and sometimes circus
I found some piece of bronze that looked like leftovers from a foundry ,a ledbar ,coins and "bicyclebells" small signs and decoration but the only iron besides nails and things i could recognize was this piece of iron all by itself in the middle of the place.

It could be from a UFO factory or repair shop or it could be from Mars and it could be a piece of local crap !;-)

Here is a site that may help identify your find. Might be worth checking out. It helped me find out I had meteor wrongs. Cool

Hi Bigtwin i found some rocks the same shaoe as yours, they dont photograph very well, and they make a funny

sound when i sweep the detector over them, and they give a ground balance reading of 76,

but as i turn them over they are the same shape as yours

Hi auminesweeper
I don't know too much about ground balance readings since I'm using my old C-Scope 770.
The main thing that made me think the this is not just another piece of old scrap iron is that it doesn't look rusty like most iron that i picked up from the ground, just a hard red darkbrown surface. I better check those links to find out more about meteorites!

I  think this one looks like mine
it got the same shiny parts hard to see on my pictures
and "my rock" is certainly strongly magnetic

As they wrote; This is a meteorite
Under different lighting, shiny metal grains appear at the surface. That's the first clue that it is a meteorite. The rock is strongly magnetic.
