Good catch Chris. This looks exactly what it is.  The coing at the link is not as nice as this found one. Here's the link in the Netherlands or Holland.

At this link I used used a free translator of Dutch to English on the title and this is what I got: Medal on the conquest of Tomb and Oostende through Maurits.  Maurits translates as Maurice in English.  So apparently this is a metal that commemorates the Dutch War of Independence.  You can read about that at

The coat of arms looks to be that of Zeeland in the Netherlands.

A lot of interesting things related, but I just don't see, when or where this medal was made but if theis website is any indication of what it's worth, you may have hit on something.  Here are some auctions of similar items:

Interesting stuff chris, I found this about Maurice on Wikipedia: Under the two stadtholders, Maurice and William Louis, the Dutch army was in a short time thoroughly reformed from an ill-disciplined, ill-paid rabble of mercenary companies from all over Protestant Europe, to a well-disciplined, well-paid professional army, with many soldiers, skilled in the use of modern fire-arms, like arquebuses, and soon the more modern muskets. The use of these fire-arms required tactical innovations like the counter-march of files of musketeers to enable rapid volley fire by ranks. Such complicated manoevres had to be instilled by constant drilling. As part of their army reform the stadtholders therefore made extensive use of military manuals, often inspired by classical examples of Roman infantry tactics...
