I dug this bullet/projectile on Easter weekend.
I think it’s a bullet. I haven’t see one with these dimensions before
The length is 54.40mm or 2,142 inches. It could be just a bit longer as the tip was a bit squashed.
The diameter 9.55mm or 0.375 inches
Can you identify it?

I don't see any striations on it so this bullet, if it is one, never left the barrel of a gun. To be frank, it has the dimensions and appearance of a carbon arc welding electrode. They start out 6" long and are used until they are too short. Normally around 2" in length. It's the right diamter and the end is tapered for an old style carbon rod holder. If the interior is hard carbon rather than lead, we have a match. The link below shows a few examples of modern rods.

Thank you GD. I had a look on the link. It’s not an electrode.
Its definitely not carbon inside the jacket, its lead
I got some more photos that they show the tip the back and the weight of it .they may help.

It almost looks like a rifle wad cutter round. I still see no striations meaning it probably was never fired.

It is long, has weird driving bands on it and it is bent, with a flat tip from probably hitting bone like ribs, but no striations? I think it is a paper patched bullet, not from a muzzle loader as it is a bit small but probably from one of the European (German possibly) makers.

Best I can do.

It might be a unfired tracer round for rifle / machine gun.
Those bullets are longer, containing phosphor that burns whilst in the air showing a visible trace of the projectile.

I had a few of them as a kid making nice home made firecrackers... Tongue
