Only if it is genuine, but it a a fake, tourismo thing... It likely will not vanish.

I can see you heared the Mayan callendar ends in 2012, sorry to tell  you, the new on begins within 4 days.

Only the Mayans are affected, and in 400 years, the Fox will emerge above the horizon and a new Mayan age will ensue. The precession cycle may be 2000 years, but where are we (Mayans) counting from!

It is a confirmed mayan calendar mate ! It is really a good fine. It will help you research the current mayan calendar and the one you are having.

PS: The world will not end on 21-12-2012, it is all rubbish, It is just the end of the era and the new era will begin from that day. Mayans were having their own limits like any human being to design a calendar, maybe that limit has ended on 2012 ! Please see attached mayan calendar.

As I understand the Mayan calendar, there is 4 days, at the end of EVERY year, when the world can end (for Mayans,) this ending, however is an era, not just a year, but the same uncertainty exists until the new order takes hold. Remember Y2k? Everyone and their brother was running around shouting doom and gloom. Two years in advance, I told the people working for me to change their clocks on their computers to 23:58 hours on December 31, 1999 and see what happened. We had our party early and I saved $4,000.00 the IT department wanted to spend on Y2k protection software. Easy.

We will all toast 2013 together.

hi sue, the object that you found may be silver or could be pewter, so if that is so it might be vintage. if that is the case i would not clean, or scatch it in any way, until you have it tested for silver, and to see how old it is. if its valuable, cleaning it would cut the value in half. so please take it to someone to have it tested. catbird......
