Go Up Go Down

I had posted this question on another forum a couple months ago. I was wondering if anyone here may have some insight into what type of Medallion this is.
On the front is a man holding a flag in left hand and not sure what is in the left. On the back is a laurel wreath, with an "H" stamped between them (possibly added) and in small lettering ITALY at the bottom.
Any Clues Appreciated

It is about an inch or so, to late to hunt for tape measure Smiley
It about the size of many Catholic medallions I have seen, it has a small "loop" at top that looks ike it would hang from a chain or necklace, but only a very thin one.

I am not sure, in  most the pics of St Florian is wearing some type of head gear or dressed loke a Roman Soldier. The man depicted on my medallion looks more like someone would have been depected on a "war poster" during WWII only very "nationalistic" looking and not clothed
