This thing has haunted me for 5 years.
Nobody seems to have any idea what it could be for.

It is perfectly stamped, made of copper and about 1mm thick.
It was recovered in a farmsite in the middle of Michigan that dates from the mid 1800s.

I was thinking it was for a speakeasy or something similar.  The stamping and design leads me to believe it is from post 1900.
