Neat trick to ID stuff.

Open google search engine and select the image tab.

Drag a photo (JPG file) of your find from windows explorer into the google search bar.

Google will find photos that look the same!

Take a look at the names of the photos. But to answer your question, no.

Neat trick indeed.   But it didn't work for me for Internet Explorer 8.  The drag and drop function didn't work, that is.   It just kept showing me the picture in the browser window.

For IE8, I had to open Google, click Images (which changed the Google to Google Images), click the little camera in the search box (which opened a small window), then click "Upload the File", then load the picture file using the Browse button.

I tried it with a number of pictures.   I tried a rock with an image on it, and got lots of rocks with images on it plus a few statues.   Tried a rusty piece of metal and got some rusty pennies, chucks of metal, a few old pictures, a mini-bar, and a holy cleric.  As one would expect, the more clear or well defined the object, the better the search.

I'll definitely use this in the future.   Thanks n3umv!

Using Firefox, I simply dragged the file into the search box under the Google image tab.

Thanks for the update! I will be sure to tell this to anyone still using Explorer.
