Found this in an old field that used to have carnivals from the 1940's-1960's. Antiques guy couldn't indentify, made no real guesses either, haha!!

I looked through a bunch of pics online of different Mason rings, pins, pendants, etc..., and nothing resembled what I found. Maybe it just looks "Mason" like because of the square and tools?

I have actually knocked on the local Mason Hall Lodge door to ask permission to dig, but they never answer the door!  I always get this pic in my head of a few older guys sitting around peeking out the blind saying, " Shhhh, he'll go away if he thinks we're not here"...hahaha!! They have a huge field out behind the property that was used for numerous farms over the last 200 years.

I was thinking a Labor Union pin or something similar as well? I just can't seem to do good searches online.... Tongue Cheesy

It's about 2-2 1/2 long and about 1/2 inch wide. Like a lapel pin for a suit, but no pin or making where a pin/lach would have been.

My guess would be a labor union symbol.  With those symbols, I would try the Masons, Laborers, and doubtful but possible Carpenters and joiners unions.

I think you guys are on the right track, but it won't be for a single union.....too many disparate crafts represented.   It could belong to a builders' association or possibly a trade school.

Anything on the back?  Can you describe the image in the lower left corner?

Looks art deco from the late 30's early 40's.  I've seen 1939 world's fair stuff and automotive awards in this style from that period.

Possibly hardware salesman award?
