item seems to be 1inch to 1 1/4inch has a four leaf clover with 4 holes looks to be a button that is you sew on and not sure how old it is was found at a 1852 home  also found a pin seems to be about 2 1/2inch long and have a pink stone or gem

If I'm not mistaken, that is a 4H pin. Used to have a pin sticking straight out the back to use on your lapel or over your pocket. It's an old one, but look here:

Cool thanks for the link but i did not find an explanation as to why they called it 4H not that it really matters now that I know what they do and stand for.

The 4 letter Hs stand for Head, Heart, Hands and Health. The club cares for those in the youth members promoting a happy and healthy life for them.
