Hello Gregg,

well my oldest finds are of Celtic origin and over 2000 years old. However it unfortunately does not happen often that I dig up something that old. Interestingly most of the stuff I find dates either from 0 - 200 or then starting from 1600 - 2000. But inbetween I never find anything!?

The ring seems to be about 300 - 400 years old and must have belonged to a soldier.

Best wishes,

Christian

Hi Christian, I just came across your wonderful old ring post. Did you ever find out more about it? It looks to me like a fertility ring?? lol ...Man or womans ring? Very primitive indeed! Wonderful ring!! Congrats! Brenda Smiley
